Letting The Crowd Make The Lost Paddle Logo

Thanks to my printing representative, Curry Welch, at Freeport Press, we are testing a new way to get some of our design work accomplished. If you haven't heard of CrowdSpring.com, it's definitely worth a peak. It's a website that connects customers who want say, a new logo, with graphic designers willing to give it a shot.
And the cool thing about is that it's set up as a competition so you have lots of choice when making that final decision — and you can help ACE make that decision on a new logo for the Lost Paddle Bar & Grill.
Those of you who frequent the Bar & Grill know the food is top-notch (thanks to Valerie) and it's a great place to socialize, meet new people and watch whitewater around-the-clock. Read Scott's blog post about Seafood Fridays at the Lost Paddle.
With that said, coming up with the right logo has been tough — it's been hard to come up with a unique look. This is where CrowdSpring.com comes in. It's the perfect venue for this type of project.
Last week, I posted the specs. Then I waited. Each day since, I log on to see if there is anything new to see. Ah, yes, there is! I call in the troops and we gather around my computer to make comments and vote on our favorites. Discussion ensues and as the mediator, I must keep everyone in line.
Our project closes on Monday, January 25. If you would like to track the progress of our new identity for the Lost Paddle Bar & Grill you, too, can see the submitted designs.
And if you have an opinion, please comment on this blog post.
We would love to know what you think.
