We understand that everyone who comes to ACE is looking for something different.
Some people want a scenic, relaxing trip. Others want a high-adrenaline, Class V thrill ride. And there are still those who want to tour the Gorge to understand more about our history, geology and beautiful landscape.
Luckily, rafting the Lower New with ACE ties all of those trips into one amazing experience plus a great lunch.
After a short drive through the ACE property, rafters are ready to push off for a (mostly) quiet morning, which allows time to learn the ins-and-outs of rafting.
There’s also West Virginia surfing, a class III-IV rapid, history of the area and then the best lunch a hungry rafter could dream of.
After lunch, rafters pull their PFDs tight for the most thrilling part of the trip, a number of Class V rapids. But don’t worry, there are plenty of slow pools in between to catch your breath and then lose it again as you look at the awe-inspiring landscape around you.
When you add ACE’s knowledgeable and competent guides into the mix, you’re sure to come away with a better appreciation for the “Grand Canyon of the East.”
