You know how there are some people who can make the best of any situation?
They seem to always be able to make lemonade even if the whole tree falls
on their car?
Well the other day at ACE it rained.
You can see the importance of making lemonade. I was spending my day off
sitting at my laptop at the Big Top (trip check-in).
Let’s be honest, some people have a lot of shoes. When I moved here I was
sure to bring all my shoes, even my 4-inch party heels. But in reality, I’ll
never need those here at ACE.
I’ve seen a lot of folks come here in a lot of
different shoes, however, I think there are a few basics we should discuss
so you can have your best time at ACE.
The New Cedar Cabins have arrived.
Cabins? When you hear cabin at ACE, you generally think deluxe - hot tubs, bathrooms with hot showers and all the fixin’s. Don’t get me wrong, I love to stay
in luxury too, and the “deluxe” accommodations at ACE exceed my standards.
But for just a night or two during a whirlwind two days at ACE, sometimes
all you need is a place to keep your hot dogs cold and lay your head at
night.
Exactly one year ago this week I was having my first panic attack. After working faithfully for four years at a rafting company in Maine, my boyfriend, Chris, and I were unexpectedly unemployed. I was a wreck. What would we do now?
Four days later I got a response from my resume, "We'd love to have you work for us! We'll contact you soon. - Brandi, ACE Adventures." I was caustically optimistic. Where was ACE again? West Virginia! I hadn't really thought about what was involved in going that far.
