This trip is run on several different sections of the Middle and Lower Gauley…depending on that day’s dam release and water level. There are several sections that feature mild, beginner-friendly rapids…Class II and III…and incredible scenery. The trip can be run with small rafts or our high-tech inflatable kayaks.

Enjoy some of the best whitewater rafting on the East Coast this spring or summer on the Gauley River.

Paddle the very same rapids that make the Fall Upper Gauley a world-class whitewater run! At lower summertime flows, legendary drops like Iron Ring, Lost Paddle and Sweets Falls are even steeper and more technical than they are in the fall. Each day’s dam release dictates the boats we’ll be using…from 14-foot High Adventure rafts to smaller 3 to 5-person boats right down to inflatable kayaks.
