Carnefex Ferry Civil War Reenactment - September 12-13th

While Gauley Season soldiers battle Pillow Rock rapid below, you can witness the Battle of Carnifex Ferry reenacted on the same ground as the original conflict of 1861. Set in the state park along the cliff-lines that border the Gauley, the two-day event includes living history demonstrations such as camp life, military drills, and a reenactment of the Federal assault on the center of the Confederate line.
