Our stables are open year-round. Reservations can be made by phoning us at 1-888-223-7238 or e-mailing us at info@horsewv.com. We'll ask you a few questions when you make your reservation in terms of age of participants and approximate heights and weights.
In order to reserve a trip, we request a $10.00 non-refundable deposit per person. This deposit is due within 10 days of booking your trip and balance is due 30 days prior to trip date. We accept Mastercard and VISA. Last minute reservations are accepted on a space available basis, please call us for availability.
Horseback riding is classified as a high adventure activity that requires
differing levels of physical exertion depending on the trip you choose.
Please discuss your trip expectations with your reservationist so that we
may provide you with the highest quality trip available.
Safety is our most important priority. Horseback riding has been proven to be statistically safe, but remember all such activities have risks. New River Riding Stables and its affiliates assume no responsibility and cannot be held liable for personal injury or property loss. You will be required to sign a liability indemnification for this activity and attend a mandatory safety orientation. A copy of this form will be mailed upon request. All persons under the age of 18 must have permission from their parents or legal guardian. This requires the completion of our release form by each minor's parent or legal guardian prior to the participation in the horseback ride. Please ask our office to send a release form in advance if the parent or legal guardian will not be accompanying the minor on the trip. Minors must wear approved head gear.
West Virginia Equine Activity Statute (WV Code 20-4-2-7) prohibits acts that may cause injury, loss or damage. New River Riding Stables prohibits the use of any alcohol or illegal drugs before or during the trip. It also prohibits harmful or negligent conduct or interference to the safety of the animals or others. Please make your guide aware of any pertinent health information that may be necessary during the trip. Participants must inform New River Riding Stables of any personal injury or illness on the trip.
