 Sunset Ride
Top off your day with Mother Nature and New River Trail Rides. We’ll ride to our private overlook with a breathtaking view of the historic town of Thurmond, on the banks of the New River. This is a popular trip so make your reservations early. Weather permitting, on clear evenings, the sunset is breathtakingly spectacular as you witness the sun and moon playing hide and seek on our return trip to our mountain top location.

 Scenic Gorge Ride
Mountain top views of the Gorge and lush, forested trails highlight this popular loop trail. You’ll be guided through one of the most pristine vistas in Southern West Virginia including a stop at the famous “Concho Overlook” 1000 feet above the river. Perfect trip for beginners.

 Morning Half Day Ride
Rhododendron woodlands, mountain top meadows line the trail of this morning trip. You’ll discover the abandoned signs of the past as we ride past deserted towns of the once thriving New River coal era. Explore the magic of an ancient forest . Don’t forget your camera.

 Afternoon Half Day Ride
Available only at New River Trail Rides! Descend from rim to riverside during your half-day ride. Wildlife and wildflowers abound on the most diverse ride offered in the Gorge. We’ll stop riverside to stretch our legs and enjoy the gently lapping waters of the New River. Come join us for an afternoon escape away from the rest of the world!

 Ace Hay Rides
We’re excited to introduce you to the newest members of our “family,” Murphy and Dale. Eight-year old Belgians weighing almost a ton a piece, the “kids” are the gentle giants of the herd. Look for them on trail rides and hitched to a haywagon. Hayrides will run year-round and are perfect for youth and adult groups. Call for more information and a summer schedule.
