My family and I just returned home from our great experience of whitewater rafting on the Lower New

River on the 9:15 am trip on Sunday, July 10th with Big John. WHAT A TRIP! It was wonderful! The

scenery, the conversation, and that excellent lunch on the bank. We never expected a lunch like

that. Our two daughters had never rafted before but already want to go back, even the thirteen year

old that fell in and went under the raft and shot out the other side. I must admit, as her mother, it

scared me to death but John never lost his cool. I’m sorry I can’t remember the young mans name in

the kayak but he placed himself behind her and kept her from being to scared until we maneuvered

the boat to her. Once back in the boat Big John praised her for doing what he had told us to do if we

fell out. She even went back into the water a couple of times after that to float down the river.

What a great trip and a great day! We will definitely be back to raft with Ace.
