Oak Hill, WV. Grease your bikes, grab your helmets, and get ready to test your bike racing skills at ACE Adventure Center for their
Annual Spring Bike Fest , Friday April 12 – Sunday, April 14, 2002.
Free T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants who sign-up!

The Spring Bike Fest is sanctioned by the West Virginia Mountain Bike Association and attracts racers from all over the country for this extreme weekend event! Responding to mountain biker requests for a more technically challenging course, ACE has re-designed the race with over twice the vertical drop this year! Riders have to keep on thinking about the next hairy section, how fast to come into it, and what line to take or they will lose precious time in a sport where a little time goes a long way. Scoring is based on the riders combined time from two runs.

Arrive Friday evening for a Lasagna Dinner served at the ACE Adventure Center’s Lake Side Dining Lodge – meet your competition and relax in the Lost Paddle Lounge enjoying live music performed by the band "No Jive"

Saturday morning begins bright and early with the ACE ANGUISH AT ARBUCKLE DOWNHILL RACE - with racers dropping 1000 feet into the heart of the New River Gorge, two times the vertical descent as in previous years. This race is mainly on a single track with a downhill sprint on river road to the finish format for the race it two runs for each competitor with the best combined time winning. Male and female class only. Awards ceremony will be held right after the race.

After dinner on Saturday evening ACE will host the Twin Rivers Media Festival in the Lake Side Dining Lodge and enjoy films from around the world submitted to the festival. Animated and outdoor films will be showcased on this evening. screening.

An all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast is served Sunday morning and then the ACE MINDEN MUD FEST begins! This Mud Fest is a WVMBA Points Series Race…a circuit race over fast track, forest service style roads, technical descents & a ride along the edge of the new River gorge. An awards ceremony will be held immediately after the race.

Make your plans now to join mountain bike racers from all over the country at ACE Adventure Center for their 2002 Spring Bike Fest. Lasagna Dinner is available on Friday night at an extra charge. Breakfast & dinners are available at an extra charge on the race days. Free campsites will be available to racers. Additional lodging includes: deluxe chalets and cozy cabins with hot tubs cabin tents with beds, bunkhouses and group tents at an extra cost. Reservations are required for all meals.
