Extreme Whitewater Rafting
Team Extreme!!!
ACE created "Team Extreme" for the select few who want...and can handle...an intense and aggressive whitewater experience. You'll use the sport's smallest rafts and you'll get the industry's "extreme" guides. A Team Extreme adventure begins with an intense instructional orientation. You'll learn braces, and advanced strokes. Don't sign up for a Team Extreme trip unless you're in top physical shape.

April...the New River's "Extreme Month"
Picture waves...lots of waves...some as high as fifteen feet tall! Picture "holes"...hydraulics that are big enough to park a car in! Picture non-stop whitewater for eight miles...no long pools to paddle, just crashing, pounding whitewater.
Now put yourself in the picture...hanging on for dear life, paddling for all you're worth! Got the picture? Now picture doing it TWICE IN ONE DAY!

That's ACE's springtime Double Lower New River trip. And what really makes this trip special is that we do it in 14-foot rafts! Spring is when they named the New river the "Grand Canyon of the East." Once you do it, you'll see why they should have named the Colorado the "New River of the West." Min. age: 14. 16 miles, Class V |

May and June...
Summer Upper Gauley
Most of you know about the Gauley's famed Fall dam release. You may not know that the dam releases water in the summer, too. Summersville Lake is usually filled up by April 30, so the fun starts in May. Lower summertime flows make the Gauley even steeper, tighter, more rocky and...more extreme!

June, July & August...
Lower New River
(Trip 3)
By early June, the awesome Spring levels on the Lower New have usually returned to normal. Now it's time to play! Team Extreme's small, agile 12-foot rafts give you the summer's wildest ride. We'll run routes where others fear to tread. We'll surf things that they only look at. We may swim, but we'll be the heroes that everyone else is watching.
Rates for Trip #3
Avaiable June - October, Minimum Height: 56 inches, lunch included.

Sept. & October
Gauley Extreme
(Trip 17)
Min. age: 18.
Imagine doing the legendary Gauley river in light,ultra-responsive and maneuverable 12-foot rafts. Waves that are smothered by larger boats will toss us around wildly. Holes that the big boats punch right through will surf us like mad! We'll see parts of the Gauley river that other rafters never see.
We may even explore the "three-dimensional" world of rafting...you should be a strong swimmer. It's wild and crazy...and it's a trip that ACE invented.
Rates for Trip #17
Must book in multiples of 4 or 5.
