Premier Upper Gauley: Fall
This is the trip that has made ACE the most popular Gauley outfitter as chosen by the only people who count…you, the rafter. We use our custom-designed, light, agile, 14-foot rafts to maximize the Upper Gauley’s huge drops, waves, and tight technical turns. With only 6 or 7 paddlers in each raft, your guide can give you lots of personal attention plus the most action-packed ride on the river.
Add in a hot grilled lunch at our private site at Sweet’s Falls, the most photographed place on the Gauley, and you’ll see why a trip with ACE is the only way to max-out your Gauley experience.

Premier Double Upper: Fall
Run the most exciting part of the Gauley TWICE IN ONE DAY! We put in at the dam and run the entire Upper Gauley to just below Sweets Falls. Then we enjoy a delicious lunch at our private spot located at Sweets, and run the whole thing again! That adds up to over 100 major rapids in one incredible day. It's a long, tough day... no wimps, no whiners!

Premier Upper & Lower Gauley 2 Day: Fall
Mother Nature may have put the Upper Gauley first, but we don’t have to run it that way! We call this the Gauley Reverse trip, because it runs the Lower Gauley on Day 1 and saves the mind-blowing Upper section for Day 2. We return to the ACE Adventure Resort after the first day so you can enjoy all the amenities and first-class lodging options. If you haven’t seen the Lower Gauley or if this is your first time rafting, this is the perfect trip for you. The “Wild and Scenic” Lower on the first day and the "Wild and Crazy" Upper Gauley on the second.

Traditional Upper Gauley: Fall
The Traditional Upper Gauley is the first trip of the day…a very early start. We use the larger boats that can moderate the ride…and less chance for an unscheduled swim. Lunch is included and you’ll be back to ACE early in the afternoon if you need to get an earlier start for home.
Think you want more? Nothing beats the Extreme Double Upper; you raft the Upper Gauley River in our smallest boats...twice! There's plenty of opportunity for white water spills.

Traditional Upper & Lower Gauley 2 Day: Fall
The Gauley River is spectacular whitewater rafting from start to finish. Still, some people like to start out with the Lower Gauley to get a feel for Gauley River whitewater, then move to the Upper Gauley after they have honed their paddling skills. With the Gauley River Reverse, you can do just that. Your group will paddle a 16’ nine person raft, testing your whitewater skills out on the Lower Gauley with its rollercoaster waves and spectacular painted cliffs. Then, on day 2, find out what you are really made of on the Upper Gauley. Both sections are world class whitewater. This trip format lets you see the whole 23+ miles of whitewater spread over two days of exciting and scenic rafting.
Traditional Double Upper Gauley: Fall
The Traditional Double Upper Gauley River trip is a half-day adventure for folks who are on a tight schedule or who don't want a full day trip. We run the most exciting section of the Lower New, with over 20 rapids in just a 2 1/2 hour trip!

Extreme Upper Gauley: Fall
ACE pioneered this trip over 12 years ago. At that time, using 12-footers on the Upper Gauley was unthinkable. Our highly-skilled Guides proved that it could be done, in part because we brought self-bailing rafts to WV. Team Extreme trips play routes where others have to pass by. Don’t try Team Extreme unless you’re in good physical shape and not intimidated by the prospect of swimming in some very powerful rapids. On Team Extreme, you’ll likely swim, but you will be the heroes of the day!

Extreme Double Upper Gauley: Fall
The Extreme Double Upper Gauley River Trip is for those of us who just don't know when to stop. You know who you are; you don't stop with one piece of cake, so why stop with just one run down the Gauley in a day. Put on the Gauley River at the dam early, run through all of the class Vs, have lunch, then do it all over again. Don't be fooled, just because you can run it clean in the morning doesn't mean the Upper Gauley River will let you go home without a little excitement...

This is two extraordinary days of world-class extreme whitewater. Begin your adventure with an exhilarating day on the giant wave trains of the Lower Gauley. Dry out, unwind, and fuel up with a great grilled dinner that evening at ACE's private Sugar Creek Camp. Spend the night under the stars in your private tent, and wake to a great breakfast. Get ready for a second day on the Upper Gauley.

Classic Riverside Overnight: Fall
Experience both stretches for the Gauley without ever leaving the canyon gorge. Day one: embark down the Upper Gauley with pounding whitewater. Relax by the fire that evening. Day two: take in the stunning cliff walls of the Lower Gauley and the sparking whitewater.

Marathon Riverside Overnight: Fall
Prepare yourself for the most intense, two-day river experience! Day one is twenty-three miles of whitewater fury in the Upper and Lower Canyons. Camp overnight in the canyon, and take on the big class V+'s again!
