West Virginia Touring Kayaks

An Adventure vacations with ACE offers you the opportunity to explore the beautiful sandstone cliffs of Summersville Lake  while paddling the crystal clear waters by sit-on-top kayak. This trip will start off with paddle instruction from your professional guide who will then take you to the most special places on the lake. Your sit-on-top kayak is very stable and we can also provide tandem boats upon request. In a touring kayak you can:

• Learn to paddle your touring kayak
• Glide along the calm waters of the lake
• Explore hidden inlets
• Visit places you can only reach by boat
• Relax with friends and family

Lake kayaking is easy because the water is calm as opposed to the big waves that you get while white water rafting the New or Gauley rivers. Learning to paddle flat water allows you to learn proper paddling techniques without the pressure of moving water. Not to mention, it's a great way to explore West Virginia.
