Rock Climbing Clinics in the New River Gorge

There's a lot to learn in climbing: There's technique. There are knots and ropes and carabiners. Geology and physics also come in handy. There's the hike to the rock, carrying all the gear. But all of that leads to standing on an overlook in the New River Gorge, taking in the view atop the challenging pitch you just scaled. Accomplishment has its rewards.

If you like problem solving and putting your mind and body to the test, climbing is a great sport and a great way to get full-body, low-impact exercise. And, we want to get you passionate about climbing by taking a clinic here at ACE. You'll learn:
  • Proper equipment use and care
  • Proper shoe and harness fit
  • Basic knots and anchors
  • Techniques to climb higher and longer
  • How to pick routes, and how routes are graded
  • With instructors who eat and breathe this stuff
We'll customize the clinic to your ability or your group's ambition. We've got great beginner rock features right here on ACE's 1,500-acre resort, and there are thousands of expert climbing routes in the New River Gorge.

Let us help you get into the vertical world:
  • Trip Length: 1 to 4 days
  • Meals: Lunch
  • Season:  March - November
  • Minimum Age: 14
  • Equipment: Included
Rate Per Person: Call
