The New Cedar Cabins have arrived. Cabins? When you hear cabin at ACE, you generally think deluxe – hot tubs, bathrooms with hot showers and all the fixin’s. Don’t get me wrong, I love to stay in luxury too, and the “deluxe” accommodations at ACE exceed my standards. But for just a night or two during a whirlwind two days at ACE, sometimes all you need is a place to keep your hot dogs cold and lay your head at night.
The new Cedar Cabins at ACE are perfect for those very needs. With two double beds these cabins are great for couples or singles.
And with two additional single trundle beds you can easily fit six people. There’s a mini-fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker, so you have somewhere to store and cook those franks and beans.
There are linens as well since who really wants to dig around to find the sleeping bags anyway Best yet, A/C and heat! A covered front porch makes those rainy days a little more bearable, and there’s still a campfire area and picnic table to cook the all-important marshmallows – no adventure experience could be without.
OK, so what’s the catch? Why are they listed under Rustic Lodging and not? Deluxe? Don’t freak out, the bathrooms aren’t exactly in the cabin. But they are steps away in the Blackberry campground showers and bathrooms.
Blackberry bathrooms are not your locker room style bathrooms either. Each stall is a complete private bathroom with sink, toilet, free hot shower and even a shelf to keep your clean clothes dry while you change.
I personally don’t have a lot of money to spend on a vacation, and the Cedar Cabins are the perfect balance of sleeping off the ground and still having a bit of that deluxe feeling. Besides, with a new cedar plank interior from floor to ceiling, who wouldn’t want to sleep in what smells like a cedar forest?
The great outdoors, indoors. It might be the perfect fit.
