West Virginia Zip Lines are Taking Off
Flying through the trees isn’t just for Tarzan anymore. And you don’t have to travel to the jungle to do it. All it takes is a trip to southern West Virginia, where we have perfected the art of traveling from tree to tree with zip line tours.
And we’re willing to bet that you’ll move faster than Tarzan ever did.
Tooting Our Own Horn
By now, you have seen or heard how cool our West Virginia zip lines are here at ACE Adventure Resort. But did you know that little more than three years ago, it wasn’t possible to fly through the trees like this in West Virginia, save the occasional backyard tire swing?
In 2008, we opened the first zip line in West Virginia. Since then, we’ve seen how much people enjoy soaring among the trees, laughing and hollering. And you know what? Seeing all those smiling faces spurred us on to expand our course and maximize the fun.
National zip line “BOOM” hits West Virginia
In West Virginia, zip lining has grown so much over the past few years, that it has even spurred the state’s Legislature to pass laws regulating the industry.
Zip line and canopy tours are seeing similar booms in popularity across the country, according to James Borishade, executive director of the Association for Challenge Course Technology. Borishade said that, although this particular outdoor activity has been popular in places such as Central America for a long time, the American public is perhaps just beginning to discover it.
Ready to fly through the trees? We are.
