I’m pleased to report the women’s shower house is now open for business. It’s even better than I could have imagined — with ample room for an entire bus trip of ladies.
I truly love all the open space to maneuver into your wetsuit before your trip and wrestle back out of it at the end of the day. There’s even plenty of room for assistance, if necessary.
With so many shower stalls and bathrooms, all with doors that close, the privacy is wonderful. And I have to say, the tile selection and wood trim is spot on. It all ties together to make for a very pleasant space.
We even have automated hand driers. I know that doesn’t sound like a big deal, but a lot of consideration went into this one decision.
How much do they cost? How much electricity will it use versus the amount of paper for a traditional system? With paper, requires someone to refill it. What is the cost of that? Lots of questions. In the end, the automated system won out.
Of course, when the driers arrived at ACE, they disappeared for time. The question was raised, “What kind of person takes a hand drier?” Someone who has very sweaty hands, I guess. Luckily the driers turned up and all is well in the women’s shower house.
So ladies, on your next rafting trip to ACE, be sure to make a stop in your new shower house. Hopefully it’s not the highlight of your trip but does add that little extra touch of pampering.
