This week’s Zip Line Tour update comes straight from West Virginia and is brought to you by the letter C.
C is for concrete, crane and construction.
Without these three things, the new 50-foot tower for Terminal Velocity, our new 800-foot zip line, would just be a pile of really long logs. These bad boys, weighing in at a combined weight of 12,000 pounds, were set in concrete. Hey, that’s about the same amount of weight for about 1,200 cubic feet of water, or enough for a Summer Gauley rafting trip.
Also beginning with the letter C? Completion. And Closer. As in closer to completing Join us next time for more updates as we get closer to completion. If the stars align and the weather holds, we may just be broadcasting the next update at 35 mph or more.
