Learn to Kayak, In a Custom Kayak Clinic
We've taught thousands of people to paddle white water in the New River Gorge, and what we've learned is that each and every kayaker is different, so get ready for:
- Instruction molded to your ability (comfy, isn't it?)
- Top-of-the-line equipment (just as comfy)
- Instruction in white water that fits your skill level
- Skills that you can build on after you leave, or for the next time you come back ;)
- Insight from boaters who work and play on the river every day.
We've got our own private, 5-acre lake at ACE. For beginners, this is the perfect environment to start. We'll show you paddling basics, work on your stability, and you'll learn what we mean by " wet exit." It's a great, safe introduction. Nearby, we've got the New River, the Gauley River, and the Meadow River. So once you're ready to test your roll in moving current, we're off. You'll learn about ferry angles and river hydrology.
